Negative keywords are one of the most powerful yet underutilized tools in Amazon PPC campaigns. By strategically excluding irrelevant search terms, you prevent your ads from showing to unqualified shoppers — reducing wasted spend and lowering your ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sale).
Negative keywords are terms you explicitly block from triggering your ads. When a customer searches for a term you’ve marked as negative, your ad won’t appear — even if other keywords in your campaign match. Every 24–48 hours, Amazon generates a Search Term Report in Seller Central. Download it and look for:
