Inbound placement fees range from $0.15 to $0.98 per unit depending on how many fulfillment centers you ship to: minimal placement $0.15–$0.50, partial placement $0.35–$0.98, and small parcel delivery $0.10. Shipping with Amazon's preferred (multi-region) placement can reduce or eliminate the fee.
Return processing fees are $1.90 for small standard items, $3.39 for large standard up to 1 lb, and up to $5.00 for larger sizes, charged per returned unit above the category's customer return-rate threshold. Apparel has separate rates.

The Amazon 6-month inventory storage fee combines the standard monthly storage fee ($0.78/cu ft Jan–Sep, $2.40/cu ft Oct–Dec) with the aged inventory surcharge that kicks in at 181 days ($0.50/cu ft, rising to $6.90/cu ft at 366–455 days and $7.90 past 456 days, or $0.30–$0.35/unit, whichever is greater). After 180 days (approximately 6 months), Amazon charges an aged inventory surcharge on top of the standard monthly storage fee: $0.50/cu ft for 181–210 days, $1.00/cu ft for 211–240 days, $1.50/cu ft for 241–270 days, $5.45/cu ft for 271–300 days, $5.70/cu ft for 301–330 days, $5.90/cu ft for 331–365 days, and $6.90/cu ft for 366–455 days. A product stored for 12 months pays roughly 6× more in storage costs than one stored for 5 months.
